How to open an EML or MSG file

  1. Choose the .eml, .msg or .mht file.
  2. Read the message: sender, recipients, date and the text or HTML body.
  3. Open or save an attachment with its buttons; "Back" returns to the message.

Good to know

  • The message is shown without its scripts, styles and remote pictures, so the sender can't tell you opened it (tracking pixels don't load).
  • Pictures attached inside the message are shown in place.
  • Attachments are only opened or saved when you ask. Open files from strangers with care.
  • All the message's headers are listed under File details.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can I open an Outlook .msg file without Outlook?

Yes. Sender, recipients, subject, the message and the attachments are shown. Messages that only have a compressed RTF body show their attachments and details.

Is the e-mail uploaded?

No. It is read in your browser and never sent anywhere.
