How to view PDF metadata
- Choose a PDF.
- Read the document properties, XMP metadata and other details.
- If you want to remove them, open the PDF Metadata Remover.
What a PDF can reveal
- Author and title, often filled in automatically from your user name or the original file name.
- The application and PDF library used to create it.
- Exact creation and modification dates and times, with time zone.
- XMP metadata, which can repeat these details and record editing history.
- Names of people who added comments or annotations.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and never leaves your device. This site has no upload feature, and its security policy blocks the page from uploading anything.
