How to test your microphone

  1. Press "Test my microphone" and allow it.
  2. Say something and watch the level meter.
  3. Record 5 seconds and play it back to hear how you sound.

Microphone not working?

  • Choose the right microphone in the list (headsets often add a second one).
  • Allow the microphone in your browser: click the icon in the address bar.
  • Check that it isn't muted (a button on the headset or keyboard) and that the input volume in your computer's sound settings isn't at zero.
  • Close other apps that may be using it.

Move closer, raise the input volume in your computer's sound settings, or choose another microphone in the list.
