Dates are counted in whole calendar days, so daylight saving time changes don't shift the result. Business days are Monday to Friday; public holidays are not taken off.

How to count the days between dates

  1. Choose a start and an end date (or use today).
  2. Tick "count the end date too" if both days should count, as for a holiday.
  3. Read the difference, total days, weeks and business days.

Good to know

  • Adding a month keeps the day of the month where it can: 31 January plus one month is 28 or 29 February.
  • Business days are Monday to Friday. Public holidays differ by country and are not taken off.
  • Days are counted as whole calendar days, so a daylight saving time change never adds or removes an hour.
  • Leap years are taken into account.

Veelgestelde vragen

Why does the end date sometimes count and sometimes not?

From Monday to Friday is 4 days apart, but if you count both Monday and Friday (like days of a trip), it is 5 days. The checkbox switches between the two.

Is anything sent anywhere?

No. The calculation happens in your browser as you type; nothing is sent anywhere.
