How to translate Morse code

  1. Choose Text to Morse or Morse to text.
  2. Type your text, or dots and dashes with spaces between letters and / between words.
  3. Press Play to hear it, or download it as a WAV file.

Good to know

  • Uses international (ITU) Morse code: letters, digits, punctuation and some accented letters.
  • Letters are separated by a space and words by " / ".
  • Speed is in words per minute (the standard word "PARIS"). Farnsworth timing keeps letters fast and spaces long, which helps learners.
  • The sound is made in your browser; the download is a plain WAV file.
