How to make a ringtone

  1. Choose a song or any audio (or a video).
  2. Play it and mark the start and end of your favourite part.
  3. Choose iPhone or Android, press Make ringtone and download.

Putting it on your phone

  • iPhone: connect it to a computer and drag the .m4r file onto it in Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows). Or open the file in GarageBand on the iPhone and share it as a ringtone.
  • Android: copy the MP3 to the Ringtones folder, or open it and choose "Set as ringtone".

Good to know

  • iPhone ringtones can be at most 40 seconds; 20 to 30 seconds is common.
  • A short fade in and a 2-second fade out are added (you can turn them off).
