How to add text to a PDF
- Choose the PDF.
- Click the page where the text should go and type. Drag it into place and set the font, size and color.
- Press Save PDF and download it.
Options
- Fonts: Helvetica (like Arial), Times and Courier, in bold and italic.
- Any size and color.
- White box behind the text: covers what is underneath, for example to replace a word or a date.
- Several texts on any pages.
Good to know
- Text in Western European languages is added as real, searchable text.
- Text with other alphabets or emoji is added as a picture of the text: it looks the same but can't be selected or searched. The page tells you when this happens.
- A white box hides content visually only; the original text is still in the file. To remove information for real, don't rely on covering it.
- Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first.
