How to convert Base64 to an image
- Paste the Base64 string or the full data URL.
- Press Convert to Image to see a preview and the detected format.
- Download the image.
Good to know
- Both plain Base64 and data URLs (data:image/…;base64,…) are accepted. Spaces and line breaks are ignored.
- URL-safe Base64 (with - and _) is also accepted.
- The format is detected from the decoded bytes, so the downloaded file gets the right extension even if the data URL says otherwise.
- If the decoded data is not an image, you are told what it looks like instead.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Decoding happens in your browser and the text you paste never leaves your device.

Why does it say the data is not an image?
The text decoded correctly, but the bytes are a different kind of file, for example a PDF or plain text. The tool names the type it found.
Why does it say the text could not be decoded?
The text contains characters that are not valid Base64, or part of it is missing. Check that you copied the whole string.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything runs locally.
