How to play a video file in your browser
- Choose the video or audio file (add its subtitle file too, if you have one).
- Play it; click a frame below the player to jump there.
- Add subtitles with "Add subtitles": SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, SBV, TTML and LRC work.
Good to know
- Whether a video plays depends on your browser's codecs: the player tests the actual file and tells you what is missing (for example H.265/HEVC in Chrome on some computers).
- AVI, WMV, FLV and MPG files can't play in browsers; their details (duration, size, codecs) are shown.
- Videos that your browser can decode but not play directly can be converted to MP4 with the Video Converter.
Preguntas frecuentes
Why can I hear the video but not see it?
Your browser has the sound codec but not the video codec, often H.265/HEVC. Safari, or Edge on most Windows computers, plays HEVC; otherwise convert the video to H.264 MP4.
Is my video uploaded?
No. It plays from your device and is never sent anywhere.
