Tracing the shapes…
Tracing works best with clear shapes and few colors. Photos become a painting-like picture made of color areas, and the file can be large.

How to convert an image to SVG
- Choose your image.
- Pick what is in it (logo, drawing, black and white, photo) and adjust the colors and detail.
- Press Convert to SVG, compare, and download.
Best results
- Logos, icons, clip art, line drawings and signatures with clear shapes and few colors trace very well.
- Photos become an artistic, painting-like picture made of color areas, and the file can be large.
- Use "Black and white" for signatures and line art, and "Make the white background transparent" to drop the paper.
How it works
The colors are reduced to the number you choose, each color area is outlined, and the outlines are smoothed into lines and curves (ImageTracer, public domain). This is real tracing, not a picture wrapped in an SVG file.
Your image stays on your device
Everything happens in your browser. Your image is never uploaded, and this site's security policy blocks the page from sending files anywhere.
Mga madalas itanong
Is this a real vector or just a PNG inside an SVG?
A real vector: the SVG contains paths you can edit in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma.
Why does my photo look like a painting?
Tracing turns areas of similar color into shapes. Photos have millions of colors, so they are simplified.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and never sent anywhere.
