How to make a Markdown table

Copy cells in Excel or Google Sheets and paste them here (or paste CSV).
Choose the alignment of each column.
Copy the Markdown table.

Good to know

The first row becomes the header.
Columns are lined up with spaces so the table is also readable as plain text.
| characters inside cells are escaped, and line breaks in a cell become <br>.
Switch to "Markdown table to CSV" to turn an existing table back into data.
