How to crop an image

Animated GIFs

GIF animations keep moving: every frame is cropped the same way. Rotation is off while the animation is kept.

Keyboard and touch

  • Drag the crop box to move it, or drag its edges and corners to resize it.
  • With the crop box focused, the arrow keys move it and Shift + arrow keys resize it.
  • On touch screens, pinch to zoom the image.

Quality

The crop is cut from the full-resolution image, not from the preview. PNG output is lossless. JPG and WebP are saved again at the quality you choose (92 by default).
