How to add a header and footer
- Choose your PDF.
- Type text in any of the six places. Use {page}, {pages}, {date} and {file} for page numbers, the date and the file name.
- Press Add header and footer and download.
Options
- Six places: left, center and right, at the top and the bottom.
- Font (Helvetica, Times or Courier), size, color and the distance from the edge.
- All pages, all except the first (cover page), or the pages you select.
- Start numbering at any number, for example to continue a series.
Good to know
- The text is real PDF text: sharp at any zoom and searchable.
- It appears upright on rotated pages too.
- The standard PDF fonts write Western European letters; other alphabets can't be used here.
- For legal page stamps such as ABC000001, use Bates Numbering.
