How to convert a time between time zones
- Choose the date and time, and the time zone it is in (yours is chosen to start).
- Read the same moment in the other cities; add or remove cities as you need.
- Copy all the times to share them.
Good to know
- Daylight saving time is worked out for the date you pick, using your browser's own time-zone data, which covers the past and the coming years.
- Time zones are named after a large city (America/Chicago, Asia/Singapore). Type a city to add it.
- A "+1 day" or "−1 day" means the date is different there.
- When clocks go forward, one hour doesn't exist that night; if you pick a time in it, the page says which time is used.
Frequently asked questions
Is UTC the same as GMT?
For everyday use, yes: both have no offset. UTC never changes; the UK uses GMT in winter and BST (UTC+1) in summer.
Is anything sent anywhere?
No. The calculation happens in your browser as you type; nothing is sent anywhere.
