How to convert CSV to Excel

  1. Choose one or more CSV files, or paste CSV text.
  2. Check the preview and the options.
  3. Convert and download the .xlsx file.

What you get

  • Numbers as numbers and ISO dates (2024-05-01) as dates, so you can calculate and sort.
  • Numbers with a leading zero (ZIP codes, phone numbers) and very long numbers stay text, so nothing changes.
  • A bold, frozen header row with filter buttons, and columns sized to fit.
  • Several CSV files as sheets of one workbook, or one Excel file each.

Good to know

  • The separator (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected automatically.
  • UTF-8 and older Windows text files are both read correctly.
  • The file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice.
