How to fix the perspective of a photo

  1. Choose the photo.
  2. Drag the four handles onto the corners of the page or object, and check the preview.
  3. Pick the shape (for a page, its paper size), then save the straightened picture.

Tips for a good result

  • Place each handle exactly on a corner: a magnifier appears while you drag. With the keyboard, Tab to a handle and use the arrow keys.
  • Pages photographed at an angle look shorter than they are. Choosing A4 or Letter as the shape gives the page its real proportions.
  • "Brighten for documents" turns gray paper white and makes text darker, like a scanner.
  • The more of the photo the page fills, the sharper the result: the tool can only use the pixels that are there.

What it can't do

It straightens flat things. Curved pages (an open book near its spine) and crumpled paper stay curved, and parts hidden in the photo can't be recovered. Corners are placed by you, not detected automatically.

Häufige Fragen

Can I make a PDF of the straightened page?

Yes. Save it as JPG or PNG, then use JPG to PDF. To make the text searchable, use Image to Text (OCR) or OCR PDF.

Does it work with photos from my phone?

Yes, including HEIC photos from iPhones. Photo metadata such as GPS location is not copied to the new picture.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. It is straightened in your browser and never sent anywhere.
