How to make audio louder
- Choose the audio file.
- Set the volume: 200% is about twice as loud.
- Save it and download the louder file.
Good to know
- Very loud parts are softened gently instead of clipping, so the boost doesn't crackle.
- Peak normalize makes a file as loud as it can be without distortion, and Loudness (LUFS) matches a target level, such as for podcasts.
- It works with MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG and other common formats; video sound can be boosted with Change Video Volume.
Frequently asked questions
Will boosting make it sound worse?
It makes everything louder, including background noise. For noisy recordings, run Remove Background Noise first.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and never sent anywhere.
