How to flip an image

  1. Choose one or more images.
  2. Select Horizontal (mirror), Vertical (upside down) or Both.
  3. Press Flip and download the results.

When to flip an image

  • Selfies that look reversed because the front camera mirrors them.
  • Scans or photos that were taken through a mirror or from the back of glass.
  • Design work that needs a mirrored version of a graphic.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Flipping happens locally in your browser and your images never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?

A horizontal flip mirrors the image left to right, like a reflection. A vertical flip turns it upside down from top to bottom.

Does flipping change quality?

No pixels are lost. JPG, WebP and AVIF are re-saved at quality 92 by default (adjustable under Advanced Options); PNG and other lossless formats stay lossless.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything is processed by your browser on your device.
