Good to know

  • You need to know the password. This tool doesn't guess or crack passwords.
  • ZIPs protected with AES (7-Zip, WinRAR and most other apps) and with classic ZipCrypto are supported.
  • The files are put in a new ZIP with the same folders. The original ZIP isn't changed.
  • Password-protected RAR and 7z files can't be unlocked here.
  • Anyone can open the new ZIP, so keep it somewhere safe.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot the password. Can you recover it?

No. The password is the only key: without it, nobody can read the files, this site included. Try the passwords you usually use, or ask whoever sent you the ZIP.

Is my password sent anywhere?

No. The ZIP is opened and packed again in your browser. Neither the files nor the password leave your device.
